Pete air racer

Ben Howard's little "Pete". Howard found a Wright Gypsy engine in storage, talked the owner into loaning it to him and then built this little gem around it. Howard was a pilot for United Airlines and raced as a hobby. This photo is from the 1930 National Air Races.
